What we collect

When you send a brief

The Start a project form asks for your name, company, email, phone if you choose to give it, and a description of what you want to make. We also record where your visit came from (the referring site, campaign tags in the link you clicked, and the page you landed on) so we know which channels bring real projects. That information is stored in our lead database, hosted by Supabase in the United States, and a summary is posted to our internal Slack workspace so the right person sees it the same day.

When you browse

We use Google Analytics to count visits, see which pages are read and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. We do not turn on Google's advertising identity features, so this data is not combined with your Google account. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs for security and performance. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is being sent by a person, not a script, and may set a short-lived cookie to do that.

Why we use it

  • To answer your brief and, if we go ahead, to run your project.
  • To understand which pages and channels are useful, so we can improve the site.
  • To keep the site and the form working and free of abuse.
  • To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations as an FDA-registered manufacturer.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

How long we keep it

Briefs and the correspondence around them are kept for as long as we are talking, and for three years after the last contact, unless a project turns into a manufacturing relationship, in which case batch and customer records are kept for the periods the FDA requires. Google Analytics data is kept for fourteen months. You can ask us to delete your brief at any time.

Your choices

You can send a brief without cookies by blocking them in your browser; the form still works. Google offers abrowser add-on that stops Analytics collecting anything. If you are a California resident you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and we will not treat you differently for asking. Email info@formologylab.com and we will reply within thirty days. If you are writing from outside the United States, your information is processed in the United States under this notice.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not announce small wording changes; anything that changes what we collect or why will be called out here.
